    Sheep study poses sexuality questions -- US scientists claim to have found evidence that brain structure influences sexual preference in sheep. They say a region of the brain involved in sexual behaviour is different in "gay" rams which prefer to mate with other males.


    U.K. poll: Most men pretended to be gay -- Nearly 80 percent of heterosexual men have admitted to pretending to be gay at some point in their lives in order to achieve something of benefit, according to a U.K. dating site's survey.


    Former NFL player Esera Tuaolo comes out, says the NFL is not ready for gays -- None of his former teammates have called him since he came out a few days ago on HBO's "Real Sports." Sterling Sharpe, a teammate with Green Bay, told the show that if Tuaolo had come out while playing, "he would have been eaten alive and he would have been hated for it."


    Lesbian sheriff elected in Vermont -- Sheila Prue, a Democrat and longtime Brattleboro, Vt., police officer, was elected as Windham County sheriff on Tuesday, becoming the state's first female sheriff and the nation's second out lesbian sheriff.


    Belgium to Embrace Gay Marriage -- The Belgian Senate Justice Commission voted 11-4 to back a bill that would grant same-sex couples the same legal rights that married heterosexual couples receive in marriage.


    Providence Becomes Largest U.S. City with Openly Gay Mayor -- ``It's very exciting for me and for the city to achieve this milestone,'' Cicilline said. ``Obviously, there will be some interest nationally because I'm gay, but I'll continue to talk about the things that will make Providence a better place to live for all kinds of people.''
